The Custom Saber Shop Metal Crossguard | New Product Alert

The Custom Saber Shop (TCSS) teased a new metal crossguard piece. The crossguard blade holder gives a lightsaber hilt a sword-like appearance and a High Republic era vibe. The crossguard piece is part of the Modular Hilt System (MHS V1 and MHS V2), The Custom Saber Shop’s product lines of mix-and-match lightsaber hilt parts.

TCSS first posted photos of the new crossguard in late April 2022. Availability of the metal crossguard will be limited.

The crossguard assembly consists of two parts: the aluminum crossguard/blade holder and the neck. Neck is available in aluminum or brass. The center of the crossguard features a blade holder designed to accept a 1 inch diameter blade and two 8-32 holes for blade retention. The flat guards extend out from blade holder, flaring out to form rounded ends. The assembly is 11 inches wide and adds 2.5 inches of length to a hilt. Buyer may select an MHS V1 or MHS V2 variation of the crossguard.

The Custom Saber Shop opened a sign up form for the crossguard in late April 2022 that will remain open until May 4, 2022. The company states that “[s]igning this form will guarantee you a spot in the run with your selected configuration. We can not guarantee these will be offered as a regular stocked item after the run in any configuration.”
