Saber Foundry AEO lightsaber has been unveiled. The custom saber, an original design, is “inspired by the halls and windows of the first Death Star”. AEO is available as an empty hilt for DIY. Saber Foundry released the hilt in mid August 2021. AEO hilts are still in stock as of early July 2022.

AEO lightsaber is comprised of an all aluminum lightsaber hilt with a blade holder that accepts a 1 inch diameter blade (or may optionally use a recess in emitter for a 7/8 inch pixel connector). Hilt features a threaded main body, vented pommel and proprietary switch plunger. The blank canvas design of AEO favors further customization like etching, powder coating, adding a leather wrap, etc.
Saber Foundry provides chassis files for the hilt upon the purchase of AEO. Hilt may currently accept the following soundboards: Proffieboard, Plecter Labs Crystal Focus 10 (CFX), or Verso. Hilt may alternatively accept the KR Sabers V2 Flagship crystal chamber chassis designed by ShtokCustomWorx. The crystal chamber chassis requires an adaptor (provided by Saber Foundry as a file).
