Darth Luft Lightsaber in Star Wars Legends

The Darth Luft lightsaber is comprised of a cylindrical hilt with a curved, talon-like bottom. The lightsaber, a Sith lightsaber, emits a red blade.

Darth Luft serves as a member of Darth Krayt’s One Sith. In 138 ABY, Darth Krayt dies and the One Sith are defeated in the Second Imperial War. Darth Luft goes underground and becomes the leader of a pirate syndicate that operates a slave ring. Luft operates independently the rogue Sith Lord Darth Wredd. Luft hates Wredd, believing Wredd to be undisciplined and arrogant.

Luft’s criminal operation lures many Mon Calamari and Quarren individuals to the planet Dac where he enslaves them and forces them to build ships for the pirates.

Sometime in 138 ABY, Imperial Knight Jao Assam and junk dealer Ania Solo discover Darth Luft’s operation. They report the operation to the new galactic government, Galactic Federation Triumvirate. The government sends a task force to liberate the shipyards and takes the pirates into custody.

Darth Luft and Jao Assam engage in lightsaber combat. Assam eventually impales Luft from behind, killing the Sith Lord. Darth Wredd, who wishes to destroy the One Sith and reinstate the Rule of Two, later thanks Jao Assam for killing Luft.
