The Jmmaar lightsaber is comprised of a standard cylindrical metal hilt with a flared emitter. The lightsaber, a Jedi lightsaber, emits a green blade.
According to Star Wars Canon content, Jmmaar is a Clone Wars era 10-legged, crablike being from the planet Vvaw. He is a Jedi Master within the Jedi Order. General Grievous kills Jmmaar sometime prior to the battle of Utapau. Grievous takes the lightsaber as a trophy and adds it to his collection
According to Star Wars Legends, Jmmaar is a Clone Wars era Viraanntesse Jedi Master originally from the plane Vvaw. He serves the Jedi Order. Prior to the Clone Wars, Jmmaar and fellow Jedi Master T’chooka D’oon go on a mission to the planet Kalee to help peacefully resolve the Huk War. The Jedi side with Huk over the native Kaleesh people. The Kaleesh enter a state of depression and starvation. The Kaleesh people, including the individual who would become General Grievious, come to dislike the two Jedi.
In 20 BBY Jmmaar, along Jedi Master T’chooka D’oon and his Padawan Flynn Kybo, go on a mission to the planet Vandos to rescue a captured Republic Ambassador. General Grievous ambushes the Jedi, eventually killing both D’oon and Jmmaar and taking their lightsabers as trophies. Kybo manages to rescue the Ambassador and complete the mission.
The Jmmaar lightsaber becomes one of Grievous’s favorite lightsabers in his collection. He wields the weapon against Obi-Wan Kenobi during a lightsaber duel on Utapau.

In Star Wars Canon, an image of the the Jmmaar lightsaber first appears in Star Wars Canon in the reference book Star Wars: Complete Vehicles (2018 version). In Star Wars Legends, the first image of the Jmmaar lightsaber appears in the reference book Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith Incredible Cross-Sections (2005) in the section featuring Grievous’s Wheel Bike.
