Imri Cantaros Lightsaber in Star Wars Canon
The Imri Cantaros lightsaber is comprised of a standard cylindrical metal hilt. The hilt features a wide emitter, narrower body, and truncated cone-shaped pommel. The Jedi lightsaber emits a blue blade.
After growing up on the planets Genetia and Hynestia, Imri Cantaros joins the Jedi Order and learns the ways of the Force. Jedi Master Douglas Sunvale takes on Cantaros as his apprentice. Sunvale and Cantaros are stationed aboard the transport ship Steady Wing along the young Jedi Knight Vernestra Rwoh.
When Nihil pirates sabotage the ship to explode, Cantaros and several others narrowly escape in a shuttle. Sunvale is killed during the blast. The survivors and marauders alike become stranded on the jungle moon Wevo.
Cantaros becomes increasing angry at the pirates responsible for his master’s death. Disobeying Vernestra Rwoh’s orders, he helps plot an ambush of the pirates. The ambush fails and the pirates capture him. When Rwoh arrives and rescues him, Cantaros uses a Force choke on one of the pirates in order to help her. She cautions him about tapping into the dark side. Still angry, Cantaros duels Rwoh briefly before calming down recognizing his mistake.
Jedi Master Sskeer arrives and rescues the stranded group from the jungle moon. Cantaros is disappointed in himself, even wondering if he will be expelled from the Jedi Order. After the group leaves Wevo, Vernestra Rwoh tells Imri Cantaros that she will be his new master and help him complete his Jedi training. Cantaros cries with joy and promises her he will not let her down.
