Power Rangers Micro Machines is a toy line of collectible tiny scale figures and vehicles. Toy company Galoob (acquired by Hasbro) launched the first Power Rangers Micro Machines products in 1994. While the Ranger and Putty figures have fixed poses, many of the monsters, zords, and Battle Bikes have a moving element (e.g. moving jaw, wings, fists, etc.). The products are recommended for ages 4 and up due to the small size of the toys and potential choking hazard for younger children.
Galoob developed the first Micro Machines toys in 1986. The toy line become so popular that by 1989, 50% of Galoob’s sales came from the Micro Machines products alone. Although early Micro Machines products consisted of cars and vehicles, Galoob later expanded the product line to include popular media franchises as well. In addition to producing Power Rangers Micro Machines, Galoob also made Star Wars, Star Trek, James Bond, and other licensed playsets based on popular movies and television series as well.
