Saberforge Knight Errant lightsaber has been released. Featuring a metal crossguard, the hilt takes design inspiration from the European longsword. Saberforge offers Knight Errant as an empty hilt (DIY or display) or as an installed sound saber (baselit or pixel). The company released the hilt in early November 2023.

Saberforge Knight Errant Lightsaber Description and Specs
Knight Errant is comprised of a CNC machined aluminum hilt measuring 10.5 in long from the pommel up to the bottom of the crossguard. An oval-profile hilt with flat sides, the slim hilt measures about 1.1 in x 1.5 in thick. The empty hilt weighs about 1.31 lbs (594.74 g).
The flat, metal crossguard features a diamond-shaped cutout at either end. A u-shaped cutout section on either side of the blade holder allows some of the blade’s light to attractively shine through the emitter. The activation switch and recharge port are situated in the middle of the hilt on opposing sides. The rounded pommel section features sound vents.
Knight Errant includes a faux leather wrap (black or brown). Buyer may alternatively select no wrap or upgrade to a genuine leather, ito (katana style), or paracord wrap for an additional fee.
Although the hilt takes design inspiration from the European longsword, crossguard lightsabers are also commonly associated with the High Republic era, a golden age of the Jedi.
In medieval literature, a knight-errant wanders the land engaging in chivalrous duels, heroics and deeds of service to court a love interest. A Star Wars Legends novel and comic book series also share the name Knight Errant.
