The Mercury lightsaber is comprised of an aluminum hilt with an oval profile. The ‘blank canvas’ design offers ample surfaces and opportunities for customization (e.g. etching, leather wrap, powder coating, etc.). A series of emitter windows are tucked under the emitter shroud allowing for a soft under glow on installed sabers. The hilt features A 12 mm threaded hole (for an AV switch, dual tactile micro switch or other setups). The grip length is 10.5 inches, although the length could be shortened to 9 inch and still fit the oval chassis. A star-shaped cutout on the bottom of the hilt serves as a sound vent.

A custom oval chassis, designed by RJT Customs, is included with the hilt. The chassis features metal accent rods in available in aluminum, copper, or brass. The chassis fits a Plecter Labs Crystal Focus 10 (CFX) soundboard or Proffieboard and may accept a 18650 battery and a 28mm bass speaker.
