The Great Lakes Saber Co GLSC Kota Lightsaber has been unveiled. The custom saber, which features a slanted emitter shroud, is inspired by the design of the Rahm Kota lightsaber. GLSC Kota lightsaber, a limited run of 100 units, is available as empty hilt capable of accepting electronics. Great Lakes Saber Co opened a Google sign up list for the Kota hilt in mid March 2022.

The GLSC Kota lightsaber is comprised of a machined aluminum hilt measuring 12.92 inches long. The blade socket inside diameter (ID) is 1.015 inches and accepts a 1 inch diameter blade. Hilt’s outside diameter (OD) ranges between 1.3 to 1.5 inches. The midsection ID is 1.015 inches and grip section ID is 1.065 inches.
Hilt breaks down into 4 main parts: emitter, midsection, grip section and removable pommel. Pre-drilled with two blade retention threads, one chassis retention thread, and a greeblie that may be removed and replaced with a Covertec wheel (sold separately). The recessed grip section favors an addition of a wrap (e.g. leather wrap, katana style tsuka ito wrap, etc) as a DIY customization.
Hilt kit includes plunger switch, required Allen wrenches, and a free blade plug.
