Emerick Caphtor Lightsaber in Star Wars Canon
The Emerick Caphtor lightsaber is comprised of a metal hilt with gold accents near the emitter and pommel. A shield-like emitter shroud, which is gold in color, attaches to the top of hilt. Caphtor wields the yellow-bladed lightsaber with a one-handed grip or two-handed grip.
Jedi investigator Emerick Caphtor is tasked with preforming detective work to solve the mysterious murder of Jedi Master Loden Greatstorm. Jedi investigators, also known as Jedi detectives utilizes their intuition and connection in to the Force in order to investigate and prevent crime. The dark side may complicate, challenge, and cloud investigations, however.
Lina Soh, Chancellor of the Galactic Republic, assigns high-end private detective Sian Holt to investigate the same mystery. Holt and Caphtor team up to follow the trail of shadows wherever it may lead.
Behind the Scenes
The Emerick Caphtor lightsaber first appears on Cover A and Cover B of the comic book Star Wars The High Republic: Trail of Shadows 1 (2021). Trail of Shadows is a five issue comic miniseries (2021 to 2022).
Like many High Republic Jedi lightsabers, Caphtor’s lightsaber features gold accents giving the hilt a prestigious, regal aura.
