The Polvin Kut lightsaber is a single-bladed orange lightsaber wielded by Jedi Master Polvin Kut. Polvin Kut is human male Jedi Master who lived prior to 233 BBY in Star Wars Legends. While serving the Jedi Order he takes on Yaddle as his Jedi Padawan. Kut falls to the dark side during a battle where he faces the man who murdered his family.

Polvin Kut Lightsaber in Star Wars Legends
The Polvin Kut lightsaber is comprised of a standard cylindrical metal hilt. The Jedi lightsaber emits an orange blade.
Polvin Kut serves the Jedi Order, eventually ascending to the rank of Jedi Master. At some point, Kut takes on Yaddle as his Padawan. While serving the Jedi Order, Kut spends decades pursuing Tulak, a warlord who had killed his family. His pursuit and obsession increasingly feeds his desire for revenge.
Kut eventually locates Tulak on the Mid Rim planet Koba, where the warlord is oppressing and enslaving the native people of the planet. Polvin Kut brings Yaddle with him Koba in 232 BBY. Tulak and his forces ambush the two Jedi upon their arrival. Seeing Tulak enrages Kut and his completes his descent to the dark side of the Force.
Kut and Yaddle fight against the Tulak’s warriors in battle. Kut wields his orange-bladed lightsaber while Yaddle wields a long stick. The two Jedi are outnumbered. Tulak’s warriors strike down and kill Kut on a bridge and take Yaddle into custody. She spends many years in solitude while in the custody of Tulak.
Behind the Scenes
The Polvin Kut lightsaber first appears in a flashback in “Yaddle’s Tale: The One Below”, a short story in the comic book Star Wars Tales 5 (2000).
Few characters are known to wield orange lightsabers in Star Wars Canon or Star Wars Legends. Yaddle, Polvin Kut’s Padawan in Star Wars Legends, wields an orange lightsaber as well. Yaddle wields a green lightsaber in Star Wars Canon, however.
