Keiran Halcyon Lightsaber in Star Wars Legends
The Keiran Halcyon lightsaber is comprised of a standard cylindrical metal hilt. The lightsaber is equipped with Durindfire gem, a precious crystal that adds a silver sheen to a lightsaber blade. Halcyon constructs the lightsaber with the capability of emitting a blade that could extend up to 3 meters long (about 9.84 feet).
Keiran Halcyon is born on the planet Corellia in 400 BBY. He learns the ways of the Force under the guidance of the Jedi Order eventually ascending to the rank of Jedi Knight. Halcyon pursues the path of a Jedi Guardian, a class of Jedi that focuses on martial training and combat. He accepts multiple missions protecting the Corellian system, his home system.
Keiran Halcyon is an ancestor of Jedi Master Nejaa Halcyon and Corran Horn. Corran Horn uses the name Keiran Halcyon as an alias while he trains as a Jedi at Luke Skywalker’s Jedi Praxeum.
Behind the Scenes
The Keiran Halcyon lightsaber is first pictured in Power of the Jedi Sourcebook (2002), a sourcebook for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game (SW RPG).
Silver-bladed lightsabers are uncommon in Star Wars. Like Halcyon, some of his descents elect to use a Durindfire gem in their lightsaber, which creates a distinctive silver sheen on the blade.
