Darth Mekhis Lightsaber in Star Wars Legends
The Darth Mekhis lightsaber is comprised of a standard cylindrical hilt with diagonal grooves in the grip section. The Sith lightsaber emits a red blade.
Darth Mekhis serves on the Dark Council of the resurgent Sith Empire. She invades the planet Rhen Var, establishing a fortress in the mountains. When Jedi Grand Master Satele Shan and Republic forces break into the fortress, Shan asks Mekhis to surrender in order to receive protection as a prisoner of war. Mekhis refuses to surrender. Shan and Mekhis engage in a lightsaber duel. Mekhis is severely injured during the duel, but manages to escape.
During the Cold War Darth Mekhis, a scientist, focuses on developing weapons. She designs a new class of warship called the Javelin Dreadnought. The experimental warship is equipped with weapons, which may be fired from space, capable of wiping out all life in a 3 km radius on a planet’s surface. Mekhis also develops an army of Sith Knights, cybernetic Sithspawn slaves created from imprisoned Jedi.
Theron Shan, the secret son of Satele Shan, ultimately defeats and kills Darth Mekhis in the Vesla system.
