The Vanat lightsaber is a single-bladed magenta lightsaber wielded by Vanat, a member of the Scions of Zakuul in Star Wars Legends. The Scions, a subgroup of the Knights of Zakuul, possess the ability see the future through Force visions. The Scions strongly believe in their visions and the concept of fate and destiny.

Vanat Lightsaber in Star Wars Legends
The Vanat lightsaber is comprised of a cylindrical hilt with a gold colored emitter shroud. The lightsaber emits a magenta blade. Other members of the Scions of Zakuul wields magenta-bladed lightsabers as well.
As a member of the Scions of Zakuul, Vanat specializes in seeing the future through Force visions. Emperor Valkorion, leader of the Eternal Empire, establishes the Scions of Zakuul as a subgroup of the Knights of Zakuul. Valkorion’s son, Prince Arcann, despises the Scions. Around the time Arcann becomes the Emperor of the Eternal Empire, he orders the killing of all members of Scions of Zakuul.
Under the leadership of Heskal, Vanat and a few other Scions escape death and find refuse at the shadowport Asylum. The Heskal and the Scions encounter the Outlander and are puzzled as to why they cannot see the Outlander’s future. Vanat and the other Scions question and test the Outlander with a series of combat tests, which ultimately reveals the presence of Valkorion within the mind of the Outlander. Vanat and the surviving Scions swear loyalty to the Outlander.
Heskal’s Force visions lead him to alert Arcann of the presence of the Scions and the Outlander at Asylum in order to force a confrontation. Arcann arrives at the shadowport, personally killing the Scions. Vanat is presumed to have died in the skirmish.
Behind the Scenes
The Vanat lightsaber first appears in the video game expansion Star Wars: The Old Republic: Knights of the Fallen Empire (2015). Magenta lightsabers are somewhat rare in Star Wars Canon or Legends, however, the Vanat lightsaber and the lightsabers wielded by other members of the Scions of Zakuul emit magenta blades.
