Reath Sila Lightsaber in Star Wars Canon
During the High Republic era, Jedi Padawan Reath Silas spends the majority of the early years of his apprenticeship stationed on Coruscant or attending high-level diplomatic meetings alongside his master, Jedi Master and Jedi Council member Jora Malli. He enjoys staying at the Jedi Temple and studying the archives.
Silas is later dispatched on an assignment to the galactic frontier. During the journey, his ship is unexpectedly knocked out of hyperspace. Silas and his traveling companions become stranded and find refuge in a seemingly abandoned space station.
Behind the Scenes
The Reath Sila lightsaber first appears on the cover the novel Star Wars The High Republic: Into the Dark (2021). Concept art of the Jedi Padawan and his lightsaber previously appeared in a Star Wars.com article entitled Inside Star Wars: The High Republic: Meet the Padawans (Retrieved 1/21/2021). Both the cover art and the concept art features a flared emitter and pommel section.
