The Tethan Props Thranduil Sword Lightsaber has been released. The custom saber, a mashup lightsaber, is inspired by the design of the sword of Thranduil, the Elven King. The 3D printed lightsaber is made of resin and painted to add detail and realism. The lightsaber is installed as a stunt saber that lights up, but does not make sound. The Thranduil Sword Lightsaber is designed for display and cosplay and is not intended for dueling.

The Tethan Props Thranduil Sword lightsaber is made of a 3D printed resin material. The company hand-paints the hilt a tarnished/weathered silver color with black accents. The hilt’s flowing design features indented vine and leaf flourishes and ring around the center. The lightsaber accepts a 1 inch diameter blade. The blade attaches to the hilt through friction (i.e. there is no blade retention screw).
The Thranduil Sword Lightsaber lightsaber is installed with a 200 lumen LED. The lightsaber illuminates but does not make sound. The custom saber is equipped with 3 different light modes: standard, low and strobe. The USB recharge port is strategically and discreetly situated inside the handle. Like other Tethan Props LOTR lightsabers, the Thranduil Sword Lightsaber lightsaber includes: the hilt, a blade plug, and a USB cable for charging the saber. A 92 cm long blade (about 36 inches) is available as an optional upgrade.
Tethan Props LOTR inspired lightsabers commonly sell out. The company restocks the custom Lord of the Rings inspired lightsabers in their Etsy store periodically every few weeks. The store states that they do not accept pre-orders.
