The Taron Malicos lightsabers are a pair of two single-bladed red lightsabers wielded by a Jedi Master turned leader of the Nightbrothers. Taron Malicos serves the Jedi Order and the Republic as a Jedi General during the Clone Wars. After surviving the enactment of Order 66, he crash-lands on Dathomir and turns to the dark side. He is a skilled practitioner of Jar’Kai, a dual blade lightsaber fighting technique.

Taron Malicos Lightsabers in Star Wars Canon
By the time of the Clone Wars, Taron Malicos ascends to the rank of Jedi Master. He serves the Jedi Order and the Republic as a Jedi General. He develops a reputation as a skilled tactician and motivator of troop morale.
During the enactment of Order 66, Malicos’ troops turn on him and attack him. After fighting some of the off, he manages to escape and flees to the planet Dathomir. Malicos crash-lands on the planet. The Nightbrothers find him and present them to their leader, Viscus. Malicos falls to the dark side and kills Viscus. The former Jedi Master becomes the new leader of the Nightbrothers. He rules with fear and kills those who oppose him. He manipulates the Nightsister Merrin to learn the magick of the Nightsisters. He wants to learn the magick to increase his power.
In 14 ABY, Malicos encounters Cal Kestis outside the Tomb of Kujet. Malicos notices Kestis had met Merrin. Malicos poses as a wanderer who likes to travel and study extinct cultures. He eventually admits to Kestis that he is actually a survivor the Great Jedi Purge. Kestis realizes Malicos is actually the leader of the Nightbrothers and Malicos confirms this.
Cal Kestis returns to the Dathomir later. Teaming up with Merrin, Kestis approaches Malicos again in the Tomb of Kujet. The former Jedi Master asks Kestis to join him and build sometime better than the flawed Jedi Order. When Kestis refuses to join him, Malicos says, “Then Dathomir will be your grave.” The former Jedi Master ignites his two red-bladed lightsabers.
Malicos and Kestis engage in a fierce lightsaber duel. Merrin appears periodically during the duel, throwing magick energy at Malicos in order to help Kestis. She ultimately use magick to bury Taron Malicos beneath rubble in the tomb.
