Halsey Lightsaber in Star Wars Canon
Halsey serves the Jedi Order and the Republic during the Clone Wars. He takes on Knox as a Padawan. In 20 BBY, Halsey and his apprentice Knox are dispatched to defend the Temple of Eedit from a Separatist attack. The Temple of Eedit, a Jedi Temple, is located on the planet Devaron.
As Halsey, Knox, and a group of Republic clone troopers defend the temple from a Separatist droid attack, Count Dooku’s new apprentice, Savage Opress, arrives on the scene. Halsey tells his apprentice to stay back and the Jedi Master approaches Opress. Halsey wields his lightsaber against Opress. Opress dodges Halsey’s lightsaber strikes and grabs the Jedi’s lightsaber arm, forcing Halsey to drop the weapon. Halsey continues fighting open-handed against Opress. Opress uses his pike to sweep Halsey’s legs, knocking the Jedi to the ground. Opress kills Halsey with the pike.
Behind the Scenes
The Halsey lightsaber first appears in “Monster” (2011), Season 3, Episode 13 of the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The lightsaber is a clan saber with a somewhat generic design. Several additional Clone Wars era lightsaber share the same design.
