Sha’a Gi Lightsaber History in Star Wars Legends

The Sha’a Gi lightsaber is a single-blade Jedi lightsaber that emits a green blade. The cylindrical hilt is mostly metallic silver in color and appears to feature a thin neck / choke point below the emitter. The body and pommel of the hilt are uniform in diameter with two horizontal grooves near the base of the hilt.

Sha’a Gi is extremely skilled and proficient in computer system operation, but subpar in lightsaber combat. Additionally, Sha’a Gi struggles to maintain the composure and mental discipline required of a Jedi. The presence of his master, Daakman Barrek, helps stabilize his mood.

During an intelligence gathering mission, Daakman Barrek and Sha’a Gi discover a Confederacy operated droid factory on the planet Hypori. After alerting the Jedi Council, the Council dispatches a task force of Jedi and clone troopers. The Confederacy deploys orbital mines, destroying most of the clone trooper transports upon arrival. Daakman Barrek, Sha’a Gi, and the five Jedi assigned to the mission survive the ordeal and take shelter in ship wreckage. Barrek manages to contact General Obi-Wan Kenobi, telling him about the situation, just before General Grievous kills the Jedi.

Lacking the calming presence of his master, Sha’a Gi panics, screams, ignites his green lightsaber and charges out into the open. General Grievous, who had been out of view, leaps down crushing Sha’a Gi, killing the Padawan. The Sha’a Gi lightsaber is knocked loose into the air and tumbles out of view. The fate of the lightsaber is unknown.
