The Sifo-Dyas lightsaber is a single-bladed blue lightsaber belonging to the mysterious Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas in Star Wars Canon. Sifo-Dyas, a Jedi Master and Jedi Council member prior to the blockade of Naboo, is responsible for commissioning the Kaminoan cloners to create the Grand Army of the Republic.

Sifo-Dyas Lightsaber History in Star Wars Canon
The Sifo-Dyas lightsaber emits a blue blade. Sifo-Dyas, who is extremely gifted in the power of foresight, serves on the Jedi Council prior to the blockade of Naboo.
Sifo-Dyas foresees a coming war and asserts the Republic would need to amass a powerful army. After the Council rejects the idea of building an army, Sifo-Dyas quietly contacts the Kaminoan cloners. He covertly pursues the creation of a clone army, claiming to have authorization from both the Jedi Council and the Galactic senate.
About 10 years before the Clone Wars, Chancellor Valorum asks Sifo-Dyas to conduct clandestine negotiations with the spice dealership the Pyke Syndicate. As Sifo-Dyas and Valorum’s personal aide, Silman, are traveling to the Pyke Syndicate homeworld Oba Diah, their shuttle is shot down.
The Jedi Master is killed in the subsequent crash. Darth Tyranus had hired the Pykes to shoot down the shuttle. Silman survives the crash, is taken prisoner, and Darth Tyranus and Darth Sidious begin to secretly fund the clone army. The Sith Lords also instruct the Kaminoan cloners to add Order 66 to the control chips embedded in the clones.
During the Clone Wars, Jedi Master Plo Koon and the Wolf Pack Battalion discover Sifo-Dyas’ ship. Plo Koon recovers the Sifo-Dyas lightsaber, igniting the blade.
“I found this [lightsaber] at the crash site,” Plo Koon says.
“Hm,” Yoda replies. “The lightsaber of Sifo-Dyas it is. Never found when he died it was.”
Behind the Scenes
The Sifo-Dyas lightsaber first appears in television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars in Season 6, Episode 10 “The Lost One” (2014). The lightsaber subsequently appears in holographic form in flashbacks in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars episode “Voices” (2014).
Sifo-Dyas Lightsaber in Real Life
No officially licensed Sifo-Dyas lightsaber toys or prop replicas exist. The lightsaber is a niche design and is not commonly produced as a custom saber, although The Rebellion Outpost is considering offering a limited run of a custom Sifo-Dyas inspired hilt in 2020. Additionally, 5280 Printing released a custom Sifo-Dyas inspired lightsaber named The Lost One.
