What is a lightsaber trident? | Lightsaber Terminology

A lightsaber trident, or a trident lightsaber, is a long-handled lightsaber variation that emits three blades. A lightsaber trident is not currently part of Star Wars Canon or Star Wars Legends.

A lightsaber trident shares design similarities with the three-bladed crossguard lightsaber. Some trident lightsabers could be considered a crossguard lightsaber variation. A lightsaber trident is often depicted as using an extremely long handle, like a pike. Additionally, the side blades on a lightsaber trident, which are shorter than the main blade, are commonly slanted at a 45 degree angle or more or situated to run parallel to the main blade.
