Korbanth has unveiled the DM2020 lightsaber hilt, which features a crystal reveal setup. The custom saber is inspired by the double-bladed Darth Maul lightsaber. The lightsaber will be available as an empty hilt or as an installed neopixel saber. DM2020 may be configured as two single hilts or as one saberstaff. Korbanth is targeting a July 2020 release date for the DM2020 lightsaber. The hilt is manufactured by 89sabers.

The aluminum hilt features a crystal reveal, a feature that it’s predecessor, Korbanth DM1, lacked. A crystal end cap is situated at the bottom of each single hilt. Although the single hilts could be configured separately, DM2020 does not include pommels. Korbanth states that the hilts will not be screw together and that the saberstaff cannot be misaligned.
Korbanth, a United States based custom saber company, specializes in limited runs character inspired lightsaber hilts. The company releases empty hilts and offers a more limited selection of installed lightsabers as well.
