The Aayla Secura lightsaber is a single-bladed lightsaber that Jedi Master Aayla Secura constructs and wields. The lightsaber emits a blue blade. Secura, a Rutian Twi’lek female, serves as a Jedi General during the Clone Wars era.

Secura wields the blue-bladed lightsaber throughout the Clone Wars, leading a squad of Republic clone troopers in battle against the Separatists. Following Darth Sidious’ issuance of Order 66, a secret order identifying all Jedi as traitors of the Republic, clone troopers from Aayla Secura’s own squad shoot her in the back, killing the Jedi Master before she had time draw her lightsaber.

In the video game Star Wars Battlefront II (2017), Aalya Secura is depicted wielding two lightsabers.

Behind the Scenes

The Aayla Secura lightsaber first appears in Star Wars Canon in the film Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones (2002). The Aayla Secura blue-bladed lightsaber is depicted with various, differing hilt designs across Star Wars media. Aalya Secura is shown using a clan saber in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones with the same hilt design as the Jedi Padawan Barriss Offee lightsaber.

Aayla Secura Lightsaber in Real Life

No officially licensed Aayla Secura lightsaber toy or prop replica has ever been produced, although Hasbro has released multiple lightsaber-wielding Aayla Secura action figures. Custom saber companies KR Sabers and One Replicas collaborated to release an unlicensed, custom Aayla Secura/Barriss Offee lightsaber hilt in 2017.
