Disney’s Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple Experience | What You Should Know

Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple, previously called Jedi Training Academy, is a Star Wars themed interactive show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney World) and Hong Kong Disneyland. The 20 minute experience, which is free with park admission, is open to participants between 4 and 12 years old. A group of 16 or more children may participate in each training session. Advance, same-day registration is required.

Jedi Master Vanzell Mar-Klar and Jedi Apprentice Nedriss Narr guide younglings through their Jedi training session. During show, younglings are issued training lightsabers and Jedi robes. Children train in the ways of Force, ultimately testing their skills against the dark side! As the show ends, younglings return their training lightsabers and robes and are awarded a certificate to commemorate their experience.

Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple Location

Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple currently operates at two Disney parks: Disney’s Hollywood Studios (at Walt Disney World) and at Tomorrowland in Hong Kong Disneyland. The experience had previously operated at Disneyland (closed in 2018) and Disneyland Park Paris (closed in 2017) as well.

Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple Registration

Disney requires same-day, advance registration for Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple. Disney’s Hollywood Studios attendees must register at the enrollment station at Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost. Hong Kong Disneyland attendees must register at enrollment station at Space Traders.

Participants must be between 4 and 12 years old. Space is limited and registration is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Disney requires all participants to be present at the time of registration. Registration opens when the park opens.

Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple History

Jedi Training Academy originated at Star Wars Weekends, a now defunct annual festival at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Disney World (Disney discontinued Star Wars Weekends in 2015 due to the construction of Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge). Now called Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple, operates the live show operates daily at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Hong Kong Disneyland.
