Master Replicas (MR), a high-end movie prop replicas company, manufactured realistic Star Wars Force FX Lightsabers, full scale replica lightsabers, and an affordable line of collectible “mini” 0.45 scale replica lightsabers. Master Replicas produced officially licensed Star Wars lightsabers from 2002 until the Star Wars license expired in 2007. The company closed the following year in 2008, but returned in 2017.

As of 2019, all Master Replicas lightsabers are out of production. Master Replicas does not currently make lightsabers or hold a licensing agreement with Lucasfilm/Disney to make Star Wars lightsabers, props, or collectibles.

Master Replicas Star Wars Force FX Lightsaber line

Master Replicas originated the Star Wars Force FX Lightsaber, an innovative and revolutionary battery powered, prop replica lightsaber featuring sound, light, and motion sensitivity. Master Replicas launched the first Force FX Lightsaber, an Anakin Skywalker (AOTC) Force FX Lightsaber, in 2002 to coincide with the theatrical release of Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. The company released a total of 12 Star Wars Force FX lightsabers between 2002 and 2007, selling over 1 million units. Hasbro took over the Star Wars Force FX lightsaber line in 2008 and continues to manufacture and release new Force FX lighsabers.
