Build Your Own Lightsaber Stations at Disney Parks: What You Should Know

Both Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort feature popular Build Your Own Lightsaber stations where Star Wars fans can select plastic lightsaber parts to assemble their own customized toy lightsaber. Build Your Own Lightsaber stations, which first opened in 2006, sell toy plastic lightsabers for around $25 to $50 or so, depending on the selected pieces (as of 2019).

Padawans may assemble a lightsaber with a character inspired design or develop their own original mashup design. A Disney Cast Member guides young Padawans through the entire building process, which takes only a few minutes to complete. Lightsabers from the Build Your Own Lightsaber stations are battery powered and light up and make sounds when turned on.

  1. Tattoine builders are still open, correct? Is there any place my kids can look online to see what type of lightsabers are available? They’re trying to figure out how much money to save!
