Rubie’s ‘costume accessory’ lightsabers are designed to complement Star Wars character costumes. For example, the Rubie’s Ahsoka Tano lightsaber would pair with the Rubie’s Ahsoka Tano costume. Many of the Rubie’s ‘costume accessory’ lightsabers cost around $10 or less, although some Rubies lightsabers cost a bit more.

Reviewers of Rubie’s ‘costume accessory’ lightsabers commonly assert that the lightsabers are cheaply made and may not even be durable enough for play dueling. Rubie’s lightsabers are considered to be ‘costume accessories’ and NOT toys.

Although Rubie’s does not make toy lightsabers, manufacturer Hasbro does produces officially licensed toy lightsabers, including the highly popular Star Wars: Bladebuilders line. Hasbro toy lightsabers are designed for play while Rubie’s lightsabers are designed for decoration or display.

Rubie’s offers a wide variety of costume accessory lightsaber designs, including: Darth Vader, Darth Maul, The Inquisitor, Anakin Skywalker, Luke Skywalker, Qui-Gon Jinn, Mace Windu, Ahsoka Tano, Kylo Ren, Ezra Bridger, among others.
