Korbanth, a United States based custom saber company, stated that they will soon release prototype images of a new lightsaber hilt called DMS. DMS is inspired by the double-bladed lightsaber that Darth Maul wields in Solo: Star Wars Story. The most striking feature of the hilt is the distinctive, curved claw that juts out of one end of the hilt.

The hilt will be constructed from aluminum and include anodized black parts. The hilt will accommodate 1 inch diameter blades (one blade on each end).
Korbanth estimates that the new DMS lightsaber hilt will arrive in around 6-8 weeks. Although Korbanth hasn’t released pricing information, the company assures that the hilt will be “within your budget”.
The Korbanth DMS lightsaber will be among the first Darth Maul Solo inspired lightsabers manufactured on a larger scale by a major custom saber company. Arm On Fire Custom Sabers (AOF) released images its own design of a Darth Maul Solo style hilt. Although the AOF Darth Maul Solo lightsaber hilt is a one-off commission, the company states it’s open for additional commissions on the design.
Korbanth is known primarily for creating movie inspired lightsaber hilts. The company sells both empty hilts and installed sabers along with costumes, helmets, model props and saber parts.
