The Saberforge Gladii Battle Staff lightsaber has been released. The custom saber is inspired by an Old Republic lightsaber in the 2011 video game Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR). The saberstaff is somewhat of an elongated, double-bladed version of the a Saberforge Gladius lightsaber. The lightsaber, a limited run, is available as an empty hilt, stunt saber (light, no sound), or sound saber (in-hilt configuration). Saberforge Gladii Battle Staff lightsaber, a limited run, was released in July 2018.

The Saberforge Gladii Battle Staff lightsaber is comprised of a CNC machined aluminum hilt. The hilt features standard blade sockets and accepts a 1 inch diameter blade on each end. Each end of the battle staff features a a wide, ‘flying saucer’ style flared emitter. The two ends of the hilt feature different length and style switch section. Additionally, the Gladii Battle Staff lightsaber forms a single body that does not break apart into two separate lightsabers.
Gladii Battle Staff lightsaber is available in three main finishes: Standard (two-toned black and silver), Weathered (tarnished silver/black), and Black (all black). Saberforge offers additional powder coating color options as custom finishes as well.
The installed versions of the Saberforge Gladii Battle Staff are equipped with one full set of electronics along with a second activation switch that activates the second emitter LED (the switch sections are different on each end of the hilt). The installed saber includes an in-hilt recharge port as well.
Although blade length preferences may vary from person to person, as a general blade length selection guideline, Saberforge makes the following recommendations for Gladii Battle Staff wielders (by the height of the wielder):
26″ lightsaber blades (under 5′ to 5’7″)
32″ lightsaber blades (5’8″ to 6’4″)
37″ lightsaber blades (6’5″ and up)
