Shameem BrokeFlex Lightsaber (Broken Graflex) | New Saber Alert

The Shameem BrokeFlex lightsaber has been released. The realistic custom saber hilt is inspired by the appearance of the salvaged, broken-in-two Skywalker lightsaber (i.e. Graflex lightsaber) in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Sabersmith and artisan Shameem Moshrefzadeh creates the static display piece by heavily weathering and adding exposed, damaged internals to a custom Graflex lightsaber replica.

Shameem began making the BrokeFlex lightsaber in late 2017 or early 2018. He continues to periodically make additional runs. He began accepting orders for his most recent Brokeflex run in November 2023.

The Shameem BrokeFlex lightsaber is a purely decorative work of art with no lights or electronics. The replica Graflex is ripped apart in the middle of the hilt with dented and flared out edges. The outer hilt features a tarnished or charred appearance. The split-in-two hilt reveals damaged, curled-out internals and an exposed blue kyber crystal chunk in each half of the hilt. Since Shameem customizes the weathering and damage to BrokeFlex lightsaber hilt by hand, there is some slight variation from hilt to hilt.
