Ultrasabers Dominix LE V4 Lightsaber Full review | Mystery Box Saber

I received this Ultrasabers Dominix LE V4 as a Mystery Box Saber. The lightsaber is a stunt saber, which means there’s no sound, with a Consular Green blade. I lucked out and received an AV switch, which is an upgrade feature for some of the more basic sabers by Ultrasabers. By ‘basic sabers’ I mean most of the stunt sabers that are about $100 or less.

At 12.375 inches long, the Dominix LE V4 is one of the longer hilts manufactured by Ultrasabers. The hilt is 1.45 inches in diameter. The pommel is MHS (modular hilt system) compatible, so you can swap it out with a variety of Ultrasabers pommels and you can also use many pommels from The Custom Saber Shop to change up the appearance of the saber a bit.

The Dominix LE V4 is an elegant saber with multiple choke points near the switch area. If you opt into getting windows in the emitter, they would looks like vertical lines for this hilt model. I do like these LE versions of the Ultrasabers hilts. The silver accent marks make the black hilt ‘pop’ and add some interest to the saber. The LE version of the Dominix V4 has the metallic lines in the grip area and also up by the emitter.

Dominix LE V4 is a longer version of the Dark Initiate LE V4. Dark Initiate LE V4 is a shorter, less expensive, one-handed saber. The Dominix LE V4 is definitely a two-handed saber and features an extra choke point.

The Dominix LE V4 includes a 36 inch blade by default, although you could opt to select a shorter length blade (32 inch, 24 inch, 16 inch). Admittedly, the ultra-short 16 inch blade might look a bit strange paired with a hilt that’s nearly the same length! You could also opt to upgrade to the extra long 40 inch blade for an additional $20.

In summary, the Ultrasabers Dominix LE V4 is a pretty decent basic saber. The hilt features some convenient choke points for spinning, attractive silver details in the grip and emitter area, and an overall smooth, rounded appearance.
