How the interviews work is Wired presents cast members and occasionally directors of upcoming movies, such as Star Wars: The Last Jedi, with poster boards posing common Google search queries related to the film, its actors, its characters. The cast and crew then either answer the query or joke around about it.

One of the questions given to John Boyega is, “Why does John Boyega have a lightsaber?” Boyega answers, “I’m asking myself that everyday. Actually, personally, I own about 9 right now.”

Presumably, the the question is actually asking why Finn uses a lightsaber in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. John Boyega doesn’t answer that question at all, though, instead choosing to casually mention that he owns about 9 lightsabers. We already know that John Boyega was a Star Wars fan before being cast as Finn in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but 9 lightsabers is arguably a large quantity.

Now that we know Boyega owns at least 9 lightsabers, it makes you wonder which lightsabers he owns. Are they all official lightsabers? Are they Master Replicas? Does he have any custom lightsabers? Are they toy lightsabers? We don’t know any of this, but it’s fun to think about.

What about you? How many lightsabers do you own?
