The Vader’s Vault Malum Diabolus lightsaber has been released. The custom saber is an original design that, according to Vader’s Vault, is “arguably the Sithiest, darkest thing we’ve done to date.” Vader’s Vault Malum Diabolus features a clawed emitter, exposed crystal chamber and a spiked pommel. The custom lightsaber, a sound saber, is equipped with an in-hilt LED and a Plecter Labs Crystal Focus 4.3 soundboard. Vader’s Vault released the Malum Diabolus lightsaber in July 2010. The design is discontinued.

The Vader’s Vault Malum Diabolus lightsaber features a crown of four short claws around the emitter of the lightsaber. The two-toned hilt is metallic silver in color with black powder coated accents. Hand-cut and hand-filed aluminum overlays (i.e. shrouds) are placed over the body of the hilt. The emitter claws are hand-shaped as well. Milled stadium-shaped windows between each emitter claw allow the blade illumination to shine through. A decorative, knurled red button is situated below the emitter section. A cutout section reveals accent LED lighting in the exposed raw quartz crystal chamber.
The raised, rounded activation box features both an illuminated AV switch and an aux switch. A Covertec wheel attaches to the lower part of the hilt. A series of custom, conical spikes encircle of the lightsaber pommel. The pommel is vented with sound holes.
Running on a 7.4 Li-Ion battery pack, the Vader’s Vault Malum Diabolus lightsaber is equipped with a Plecter Labs Crystal Focus 4.3 soundboard and a LEDEngin 10W red LED with Flash on Clash.
Vader’s Vault is a United States based custom saber company specializing in high quality mid-range to high end in-hilt LED sound sabers. The company began making Plecter Pixel sabers in 2018.
