A dragite gem is one of the most brittle and difficult to work with kyber crystals known to exist. They are characterized by a small, dull and delicate appearance. If an individual manages to successfully install a fragile dragite gem inside a lightsaber, then the weapon will make a very loud hum upon activation. Additionally, the lightsaber blade may also create a shockwave and minor sonic boom upon contact with a target.
Dragite gems originate from the D’olop mountains range on the planet M’haeli. M’haeli is an Expansion Region Agriworld.

Additional Details from Star Wars Legends
Humans encounter and colonize M’haeli tens of thousands of years before the rise of the Galactic Empire. Humans establish a monarchy and force individuals from the native H’drachi species to relocate to ghettos. In 17 BBY, a mysterious attack from offworld destroys the royal palace. During the ensuing chaos, the Empire arrives and occupies the planet. Imperial Governor Grigor and Grand Moff Lynch Hauser rule the planet.
Unbeknownst to the Empire, Grigor establishes a secret illegal dragite mine on the planet in order to enrich himself. In lieu of stormtrooper guards, the corrupt Imperial governor uses slaves and pirates loyal to him to guard the mine instead. He also enslaves humans and H’drachi to operate the mine.
The Empire dispatches Lieutenant Ranulf Trommer to investigate reports of Grigor’s suspicious activities. Trommer discover the mine and defeats the rogue governor.
Behind the Scenes
The dragite crystal first appears in Star Wars Legends in the comic book Star Wars: River of Chaos 2 (1995). The crystal also appears in two Legends video games: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords (2004) and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (2008).
Dragite gem joins Star Wars Canon in Gadgets and Gear (2019), a sourcebook for Fantasy Flight Games Star Wars Roleplaying Game.
Dragite is also the name of a Jedi and who serves as a High Marshal for the Galactic Republic.
