The KR Sabers Knight AS3 Lightsaber has been unveiled. The custom saber is inspired by the Anakin Skywalker ROTS lightsaber (i.e. ‘Skinnyflex’). Hilt, which is chrome plated, is engineered for screen accuracy and ease of electronics installation. KR Sabers offers Knight AS3 as an empty hilt for DIY or display or as an empty hilt with an installation kit. The company released the Knight AS3 lightsaber in late November 2022.

Knight AS3 lightsaber is comprised of a chrome plated, CNC machined AL 6061 and brass hilt. Blade holder accepts a 7/8 inch diameter blade. Hilt includes blade plug, but not a blade. The decorative button assembly at the top of the hilt serves as a blade retention screw. Spring-loaded control box may be configured with two button: an upper and lower button. Lower grip section of the hilt, which is removable, comes with pre-installed black T-track grips. Hilt includes a switch PCB and a bonus gold-colored challenge coin. Note that the hilt is not guaranteed to be flawless-there may be minor imperfections from manufacturing.
Empty hilt arrives pre-assembled and ready for display or for wearing as a belt hanger. KR Sabers offers a GOTH3Designs ECO Chassis or ECO CC (Crystal Chamber) Chassis for an additional fee.
In addition to offering Knight AS3 as a empty hilt, KR Sabers also offers several hilt kit options. The hilt kits bundle the empty hilt with a DIY install kit which includes most of the necessary parts for installing the lightsaber with electronics. Install kits include: a chassis (ECO Chassis, ECO CC (Crystal Chamber) Chassis, or natural brass Master Chassis), electronics parts kit, and soundboard of choice (Proffieboard v2.2, Plecter Labs Crystal Focus 10 (CFX), Sabertec Golden Harvest V3, or KR Sabers Verso 2.0). Note that installation requires soldering.
