Saberforge Aegis Lightsaber has been released. The custom saber is an original, curved-hilt design with a clawed emitter similar to the current Saberforge Arbiter and Sentinel hilts. Multiple finish options and electronics configurations are available. Saberforge released the Aegis Lightsaber in mid November 2022.

The Aegis lightsaber is comprised of a CNC machined aluminum hilt measuring about 12.25 inches long with an outside diameter (OD) of 1.5 inches. Hilt weighs about 1.37 lbs and uses a 1 inch diameter blade socket. Two types of windows encircle the emitter: a row of circular porthole windows and a row of vertical, stadium-shaped windows. A series of chamfered, low profile claws encircle the emitter as well. The hilt curves below the guarded switch and recharge port section. Curved design favors one-handed dueling similar to rapier and saber fencing. A conical vented pommel attaches to the end of the hilt.
Saberforge offers multiple finish options for the Aegis: Chrome (two-toned chrome with black accents), Standard (two-toned silver with black accents), Weathered (mostly black with silver edges) or Black (all-black). Saberforge offers the hilt in multiple configurations: Initiate (empty hilt), Warrior (in-hilt LED, no sound), Veteran and Champion (in-hilt LED sound saber), or Hero Pixel. Hero Pixel is a neopixel saber configuration equipped with a Sabertec Golden Harvest V3 soundboard.
