Darksaber Legacy Lightsaber Set is an officially licensed lightsaber from Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. The lightsaber set bundles together the Darksaber hilt, signature flat black blade (removable), and vertical display stand. Darksaber Legacy Lightsaber Set first became available in 2021 at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities at Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. The lightsaber is the only legacy lightsaber to use its own unique flat blade rather than the standard cylindrical Galaxy’s Edge lightsaber blade.

Darksaber Lore
According to Star Wars lore, the Darksaber is the symbol of power of the Mandalorians. First created by Tarre Vizsla, the lightsaber emits an unusual flat black lightsaber blade.
Hilt Design
The Darksaber lightsaber hilt measures 12 inches long and features a mostly black finish. An angled handguard near the blade holder and the oval profile of the hilt give the design a katana-like vibe. A Covertec wheel attaches to the lower part of the hilt, enabling fans to wear the hilt on their belt with a Galaxy’s Edge belt clip (sold separately). Lightsaber is powered by 3 AA batteries, which are included.
Blade and Stand Bundle
Set bundle also includes a vertical hilt stand and the specialized flat black blade that only works with the Darksaber hilt. Flat blade measures 29.5 inches long. Note that this legacy lightsaber uses a different flat blade holder from other legacy lightsabers and is not compatible with the standard cylindrical Galaxy’s Edge lightsaber blade. The hilt, blade, and stand are all bundled in a dark box (31.75 inches long). Note that this bundle does not include plastic clam-shell display box that most standard legacy lightsabers include.
Release and Availability
Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities began selling the Darksaber Lightsaber Set in 2021. Additionally, for a limited time in November 2022, shopDisney began offering the Darksaber Legacy Lightsaber Set for purchase online. Disney+ subscribers receive early access to the item between November 1 and November 7, while supplies last. If the set remains in stock, shopDisney will open access to the general public.

Custom Blade Decal
Etsy seller workshopi developed a custom Darksaber Blade Vinyl Mod for the legacy lightsaber. The mod, which is fan made, changes the appearance of the blade to give the blade more of a canon appearance.
