Lightsaber Stand Maker Red Five Customs Abruptly Closes for “Foreseeable Future” | News

Etsy seller RedFiveCustoms abruptly announced their custom lightsaber stand store is closing for the “foreseeable future”. The United States based company had specialized sleek, laser cut and laser engraved acrylic lightsaber hilt stands, emblazoned with familiar Star Wars inspired logos or emblems on the base of the stand. After the opening of Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, Red Five Customs added custom Savi’s Workshop inspired stands designs to their store as well. At one point, the company had offered an extensive selection of at least 50 different stand designs.

Red Five Customs did not provide a reason for store closure, but did state that individuals could contact them on Instagram @RedFiveCustoms, if necessary. Prior to closing, the company had made 933 sales on Etsy and had accepted additional orders through Instagram and in the The Rebel Armory (TRA) forums.

The company closed their Etsy store on August 4, 2022. Red Five Custom’s word choice of closing for the “foreseeable future” does leave the door open for a possible reopening at some point in the future, but don’t count on it for now.
