Rayf Ysanna Lightsaber in Star Wars Legends
The Rayf Ysanna lightsaber features flared emitter and emits a green blade.
Rayf Ysanna is born in 5 BBY on Ossus, a planet in the Outer Rim Territories. He and his sister Jem Ysanna are part of the Ysanna, a race of Force sensitive individuals from Ossus. Jedi Master Luke Skywalker and Kam Solusar journey to Ossus in search of Jedi and ancient artifacts and discovers the siblings. When Imperial forces attack the planet, Skywalker rally the Ysanna in defense of their planet. The Ysanna and the Jedi eventually defeat the Imperials in battle. After the battle, they find an ancient cache of lightsabers that are still functional. Rayf and Jem encounter Skywalker and eventually ask him to train them as Jedi Knights. He accepts and begins training them. The siblings leave their homeworld alongside Skywalker on the ship Jedi Explorer. Skywalker begins training Rayf and Jem in lightsaber technique once the vessel jumps to hyperspace.
Rayf arrives at the secret world New Alderaan. Empatojayos Brand and Vima-Da-Boda assist in training Rayf and Jem. The Jedi help the siblings hone their skills in telekinesis. Jem is killed while fighting two assassin droids who attempt to kill Luke Skywalker. When the reborn Emperor Palpatine attempts to kidnap Jacen and Jaina Solo from New Alderaan, Rayf Ysanna is instrumental in defending them.
Rayf is killed in 11 ABY on the temperate Inner Rim planet Oderon while he is defending newborn Anakin Solo. The reborn Emperor Palpatine kills Rayf Ysanna with Force lightning.
