Shadowcrest Design Templar V2 Crossguard Lightsaber has been unveiled. The custom crossguard saber, an original design, exudes a High Republic era vibe (or real world sword vibe). The V2 design is different from the Shadowcrest Design V1 Crossguard Lightsaber, which was released in 2020.
The Templar V2 Crossguard Saber, a limited run of 100 units, is available as an empty hilt capable of accepting electronics. Shadowcrest Design offers etching services for an additional fee. Shadowcrest Design began accepting pre-orders for the hilt in mid-July 2022 with an expected shipping date in August 2022.

The Templar V2 lightsaber is comprised of a machined aluminum hilt with a metal crossguard. Hilt features a long handle favoring a two-handed grip. The ‘blank canvas’ design enables many creative customization options including: etching, wrapping, powdercoating, weathering, etc. Hilt breaks down into three main sections: upper body with crossguard, lower grip section, and vented pommel assembly.
A gear piece at the top of the hilt secures the crossguard to the hilt so there is no rattling or wobbling during dueling. Since the hilt splits in the middle, the buyer may utilize a hanging chassis during an installation or customize the hilt with a crystal chamber/crystal reveal. The conical pommel assembly is comprised of three segments. Buyer may utilize all three segments, some of the three segments, or none of the conical segments at all.
Shadowcrest Design offers the empty hilt by itself or as a premium Templar V2 Elite Package. The Elite Package bundles the empty hilt along with: box and a custom wall mount fit to the Templar V2 carved from wood with felt inlay. Templar V2 Elite Pack also includes the option for the hilt to be etched with a reusable design. A reusable design is an etch design that Shadowcrest Design uses on multiple hilts rather than a one-off etch.
