The LEGO Star Wars Planets sets, part of a subtheme of the Star Wars LEGO series, is comprised of: a mini build ship or vehicle, one minifigure, a buildable display stand with name plaque, and a hangable planet. Each mini build ship or vehicle measures about 3 inches tall or 3 inches long. Each spherical planet measure 3 inches in diameter. Builders may either hang the planet from the ceiling or display the planet on a shelf next to the stand with the minifigure and mini build.
LEGO launched the Planets series in 2012. The most recent set was released in 2013. The series includes 12 sets. LEGO recommends the sets for ages 6 to 12. Each set originally retailed for an affordable price of $9.99. Since the sets are now discontinued, however, a Star Wars Planets set may sell for a higher-than-retail price.
