The Aegis Sabers Samurai Edge Lightsaber has been released. The custom saber is inspired by the design of a katana lightsaber in the Star Wars Visions series. The lightsaber is available as an empty hilt (for DIY), basic baselit RGB sound saber, installed pixel saber (standard XenoPixel or Proffieboard). Aegis Sabers released the Samurai Edge lightsaber in early June 2022.

Samurai Edge is crafted from T6 aluminum. Hilt breaks down into three main sections: emitter section with shroud, midsection, and lower grip section/pommel. A D-ring, for wearing the hilt on your belt, attaches to the pommel area. Hilt measures 178 mm long and features and inside diameter (ID) of 1 inch. If the buyer wishes to install an empty hilt as a pixel saber, the build will require a pogo pin adapter (not included) in order to overcome the hilt’s curve and provide a seal between the blade and pocket.

Aegis Sabers offers the Samurai Edge as a DIY empty hilt in two versions: one for an RGB install and one for Proffie/plunger install.
Baselit RGB Sound Saber
All of the installed versions of the saber include sound and a removable core (chassis). The in-hilt/baselit RGB core operates using a Darkwolf Sabers soundboard with pre-built sound fonts, Flash on Clash (FOC), blaster effects, and Eco Smooth Swing. Includes a 1 inch diameter 36 inch long medium grade blade.
Pixel Saber
Aegis Sabers offers two pixel saber configurations: basic and premium. The basic pixel core operates using a Darkwolf Custom Sabers XenoPixel soundboard and features a fully customizable SD card for sound fonts and sound effects. Core arrives pre-programmed with Flash on Clash (FOC), blaster effects, motion controls, and Eco smooth swing. Finally the premium pixel core operates using a Proffieboard V2 with: motion controls, SD card-loaded fonts, FOC, Blaster effects, and smooth swing. Both pixel configurations use a pogo pin adapter that is seated in the base of the blade pocket for interfacing with the pixel blade. A 1 inch diameter, medium grade 36 inch long pixel blade is included with every pixel saber.
