The custom saber, a static display piece cast in resin, is inspired by the Kylo Ren crossguard saber prop displayed at Star Wars Celebration in 2015. The Broadsword Laser Sword is comprised of a detailed, resin stunt prop hilt. Hilt comes fully painted and weathered out of the box, including heat bluing accents in the emitter area. Kit includes the mostly assembled hilt along with a brass belt clip and decorative red wire that runs down the length of the hilt. Buyer must complete the assembly of the hilt by adding the red wire and belt clip to the resin hilt prop. Halliwax created a video tutorial on YouTube for adding the red wire and belt clip to the hilt.
As a resin hilt, the Broadsword Laser Sword is more affordably priced than a CNC machined metal lightsaber hilt while maintaining accuracy and a richness of detail. Hilt is suitable for display or cosplay as a belt hanger. Anakin Starkiller previously released a resin cast Darth Maul inspired lightsaber hilt in 2018.
