The SaberMach BlackBorn lightsaber has been released. The custom saber, an original design with a black finish, is the most affordable saber offered by SaberMach. The budget friend saber is an entry-level FX saber with in-hilt RGB LED and sound. SaberMach released the BlackBorn in late November 2021.

The BlackBorn is comprise of a machined UNS A96061 aluminium alloy hilt with an anodized black finish. The hilt measures 254mm (10 inches) long and has a slim average outside diameter (OD) of 32mm (1.26 inches). The blade socket accepts a 1 inch diameter blade. BlackBorn includes a standard 1 inch diameter 36 inch long blade with bullet tip.
The hilt features a slanted emitter. The slim choke point below the emitter provides an ergonomic grip for spinning and maneuvering. A decorative pin-hole window near the emitter allows some light from the blade to shine through. The recharge port and an illuminated switch are situated in the middle of the hilt.
BlackBorn is equipped with 9W RGB LED (14 color profiles) and a budget KS soundboard with 3 sound fonts and a mute function. In addition to ignition/retraction, idle hum, and swing sounds, the saber also includes Flash on Clash and blade lockup audio and visual effects. Use the in-hilt 2.1mm recharge port to charge the 18650 li-ion battery (USB charging cable is included).
SaberMach collaborated with their subsidiary brand, KitSabers, in order to release the BlackBorn lightsaber. KitSabers specializes in developing budget friendly sabers.
