Hasbro Lightsaber Squad The Mandalorian and The Child | New Saber Alert

Hasbro is expanding the Lightsaber Squad product line to include The Mandalorian and The Child extendable lightsabers. Toeing the line between bizarre and adorable, the Lightsaber Squad hilts are designed to resemble popular Star Wars characters. Launched in early 2021, Hasbro’s Star Wars Lightsaber Squad product line is a series of plastic toy lightsabers with telescoping blades that extend out of the hilt with a flick of the wrist. The toys are non-electronic.

The Lightsaber Squad The Mandalorian lightsaber (i.e. Mando or Din Djarin) features the iconic Mando helmet, belt and armor. An orange blade extends out of the top of the hilt. The Lightsaber Squad The Child lightsaber (i.e. Grogu or colloquially ‘Baby Yoda’ among fans) incorporates Grogu’s head and his distinctive hover pram into its design. A green blade extends out of the top of the hilt.

The two new Hasbro Lightsaber Squad products will become available at many major retailers in 2021. Although the original slated release was Spring 2021, the actual release date is unknown. The lightsabers are intended for ages 4 and up. The lightsabers are non-electronic and do not require batteries.
