Ana Tathis Lightsaber in Star Wars Legends
The Ana Tathis lightsaber is comprised of a metal hilt with an s-curve emitter. The base of the hilt has a ring for attaching the lightsaber to an individual’s belt.
Sometime during the reign of the Galactic Empire, Ana Tathis lives and grows up on a planet. A local woman named Lady Caryn enchants the planet’s children with her storytelling. When Tathis is a teenager, Lady Caryn tells her that she senses Tathis in Force. Lady Caryn, who had trained as a Jedi in the Jedi Order, takes on Ana Tathis as her apprentice. After Tathis trains as a Jedi for three years, Lady Caryn tells Tathis she has taught her everything she knows. Lady Caryn leaves.
Behind the Scenes
The Ana Tathis lightsaber first appears in the Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, Second Edition, Revised and Expanded (1996). The Ana Tathis artwork is by Mike Vilardi. In the artwork, the lightsaber appears to emit a red blade. It’s uncommon for light side Force users to wield red lightsabers.
