Electrum Sabercrafts released the Neophyte Smart Saber today. The slimmed-down, balanced, and symmetrical design is intended to suit lightsaber dueling and lightsaber spinning. The manageable and maneuverable 11.5 inch length and 1.2 to 1.3 inch diameter of the hilt favors younglings and new lightsaber enthusiasts in particular, although the simple and balanced design of the hilt may appeal to more experienced lightsaber wielders as well.

Neophyte features a series of thin, deep grooves in the emitter section, followed by a tapered choke point (the hilt features additional, shallower choke points as well). The upper middle section of the hilt features the low-profile, clamp card style touch switch. The ergonomic grip section features a series of six, raised, metallic silver colored ‘rings’. Finally, the vented pommel flares out slightly to cap off the end of the hilt. The pommel is one of the widest sections of the hilt.
Neophyte comes in four color profiles: Rose Gold (metallic pink), Crimson (metallic red), Cobalt (metallic black), and Blackout (metallic black). Each of the four color profiles is offset by rings of metallic silver colored sections, particularly in the grip section. The buyer may customize additional aspects of the hilt including: touch switch/switchplate design and backlighting, blade type and length, and sound font (one free). Optional upgrades include weathering, Covertec wheel installation, and Neopixel configuration.
As with other Electrum Sabercrafts lightsabers, Neophyte is an RGBW LED sound saber that activates with a touch switch, runs on the proprietary Diatium 3 Saber Core (D3) soundboard, and connects with the Electrum Unity App via Bluetooth. The Electrum Unity App allows the user to easily customize and configure blade colors, sound effects, and visual effect on the lightsaber. Electrum Sabercrafts offers an optional Neopixel upgrade as well.
