The Vader’s Vault Legionnaire lightsaber has been released. The custom saber, a Combat Class saber, is an original katana style lightsaber design intended for a two-handed combat style. Vader’s Vault Legionnaire, a design inspired by the rigors of The Saber Legion (TSL) lightsaber combat, features a long hilt and a removable tsuba (handguard).
Vader’s Vault initially released Legionnaire configured as a sound saber with an in-hilt single color LED or RGB LED. Starting in November 2018, the company began offering a Plecter Pixel configuration as well. Vader’s Vault first released Legionnaire in September 2016 and retired the design in 2019.

Vader’s Vault Legionnaire is comprised of a long, cylindrical hilt that measures 14 inches across. Intended for a two-handed grip, Legionnaire features a removable tsuba (handguard) near the blade holder. Multiple tsuba designs are available. The 3 inch long blade socket seats a 1 inch diameter blade deep in the hilt.
Flattened side panels with katana-style diamond cutouts flank either side of the top front of the hilt. The hilt diameter tapers slightly below the tsuba and also in the lower grooved grip section. A vented pommel caps off the end of the hilt.
Vader’s Vault Legionnaire is available in three variations: Legionnaire Standard (silver color), Legionnaire Elite Brushed (brushed finish with custom accent color), and Legionnaire Elite Polished (polished finish with custom accent color). Vader’s Vault offers additional weathering, wrap, and finish options as well. The company originally stated they would potentially also create a Legionnaire Shadow (black with silver accents), but it’s unclear if Vader’s Vault ever produced the Shadow variation for this hilt model.
